Account Manager Energy & Environment / Industrial Goods Market Research (m/f/d)

Purpose of Role

  • Manages client contact; client-consulting across products; develop a strong partnership with clients
  • Responsibility for development and growth of client business within the industry energy and subindustry industrial goods
  • Identifies and brings together relevant resources to address client issues (proposals, questions, etc.)
  • Ensures consistency for client service

Key Individual Accountabilities

  • Serve as a Single Point of Contact for a main client in the energy sector: overall management of client contact, strategic client-consulting across products, develop clients to a high level of customer loyalty, inspire confidence in clients that premium fact based consultancy will be provided
  • Support the development of clients within the new established sub-industry industrial goods – identifies and coordinates current business, develop existing client business and identify other potential contacts,
    establish new client relationships
  • Drives profitable growth of client and fosters and coordinates business development activities
  • Build profile of the company to ensure client knows our capabilities and expertise
  • Presents companys latest thinking and value proposition
  • Responsible for client revenues and for client P&L
  • Identifies clients’ requirements and expectations; communicates and consults regularly with clients, holds regular review & account planning
  • Ensures consistency for client service at client – implement standards for client, support in critical project management steps, ensure best-practice and information sharing


  • 4-5 years relevant experience
  • Practical experience with clients from energy sector and/or industrial goods sector desirable
  • Proven track record in business development activities
  • Outstanding personality: Seniority and assertiveness
  • Result orientation and proven track record in (international) client relationship
  • Enthusiasm for clients business
  • Ability to understand client’s business questions, to design integrated solutions from multiple sources and to add value through simple business recommendations and insight-based consultancy
  • Highly solution oriented
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English
